THESE PROTOTYPES SHOW CONCEPTS FOR VENDORS. THEY ARE CONCEPTUAL ("WIREFRAMES") OF IDEAS FOR FINAL PRODUCTS.

 

NMCI WARNING:

There is a throttling of playback speed issue with these playable modules. On the Navy network the current frame rate runs at less than 1 frame per second.

 

Typical navigation in these modules is based on your keyboard and mouse. Look around with the mouse and move using the arrow keys or the A, S, W, D keys.

To regain control of the mouse to close the browser, hit the escape key.

PIP in Picture Methods: An example showing multiple views of the same scene.

EMB in progress: This example in progress. The "Help" and "TOC" buttons show information for the course in a GUI designed for immersive presentations. Activating the chicken switches will surface the boat.

 

DEC 2022

Fire Fighting Concept: Intent of the prototype is to consider a first person challenge to extinguish an on-board fire.

Molecule of Water: Follow a molecule of water through on board systems to blow the ship's whistle.

Training Replay System: A concept that indicates the possibility of capturing student activity and allowing playback, using the web browser limitation on memory allocation.

Water Columns: A concept to show surface reflections and refractions in the water column and on the seafloor. The large tank shows a lightweight shader in use to create water like realism typically unavailable using a course delivered via WebGL.
